Green Levittown will be highlighted as a model for other communities throughout America looking to “go green” by reducing their carbon footprint. CCE has been actively working with Nassau County and other partners to create the Nation’s first green suburb. CCE has knocked on almost every resident’s door in the community of Levittown, NY to educate them on global climate change and, more importantly, on how simple changes in their home can make a big difference in fighting global climate change. CCE is working with expert partners including: Keyspan, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Alure Home Improvements, Tragar Oil, Intellidyne, Earth Kind Energy, Satco, LIPA, P.C. Richard and Sons, and Lazard. All the partners are working together to make it easy for residents to save money and energy in their homes.
