Energy Transmission
Choosing how energy is delivered to meet our nation’s demand is a critically important environmental, economic, and public policy decision. CCE believes it is important to conserve and diversify energy, while protecting public and environmentally sensitive lands.
Global
Warming:
Global
Warming
Global Warming is upon us. Our Planet is getting hotter
and our climate is changing. Of the 20 hottest years
on record, 19 occurred in the 1980's or later. According
to NASA scientists, 2005 was one of the hottest years
in more than a century! CCE educates residents throughout
NY and CT on the local effects of Global Warming and
advocates for federal, state, local, and individual
solutions.

Solar
Energy:
New
York Solar Energy
Across New York State, the demand for
renewable energy is growing by leaps and bounds. Solar
energy can play a crucial role in meeting peak-energy
demand one rooftop at a time. CCE supports state and
local initiatives to encourage solar development.

New
York Campaign
Renewable energy, like wind and solar,
has enormous public health and environmental benefits.
Renewable energy is a non-polluting, conflict-free energy
that decreases our dependence on polluting fossil fuel
energy. In July of 2003, CCE kicked off its "America's
Independence Depends on Energy Independence" campaign.
CCE is working in New York and Connecticut to increase
the awareness and purchasing of renewable energy.
Wind
Energy :
Wind
Power Education Project
Wind energy is a clean, emission-free,
locally generated source of energy with unparalled environmental
benefits. CCE strongly supports inatitives to encourage
wind power development as well as wind power projects
that have undergone rigorous environmental review.
