Join us at Long Island Estuary Day as we kick off National Estuaries Week to celebrate the beauty and natural resources Long Island's estuaries offer! A variety of activities will be going on throughout the day at this free event:

Coastal cleanup.
Shell painting and arts and crafts for kids.
Wildlife hikes and scavenger hunts.
Information sessions on invasive species, nitrogen pollution, rain gardens, and more.
Make sure to check out a presentation at 12:00pm by Maureen Dolan Murphy of Citizens Campaign for the Environment and Tamson Yeh of Cornell Cooperative Extension entitled "Sound Gardening: Why Your Grass Choice Matters!"
