Annual NY State Beach Cleanup at Jones Beach Fishing Piers (Seal/Horseshoe Crab Beach)
Every year tens of thousands of volunteers remove and collect data on tons of debris from hundreds of miles of shorelines across New York State as part of the annual NY State Beach Cleanup.

This critical cleanup effort will not only serve to remove what litters our shorelines but also to document what is found and compile such data in order to devise strategies to combat pollution on the State level.

Dress appropriately for the weather; wear old sneakers or secure shoes that can get wet and, if possible, bring work gloves.

This event is brought to you by the NYS Department of State in cooperation with the American Littoral Society and the New York State Marine Education Association.
