CCE works at the local, state, and federal level to advance comprehensive energy policies that support renewable energy and energy efficiency, while reducing energy generated from dirty, polluting fossil fuels and nuclear power.

New York State Energy Policy: Learn about CCE's work on the New York State Energy Plan, as well as advancing wind and solar power in NY.

Connecticut Energy Policy: Learn about CCE's work to support polices that advance clean, renewable energy, as well as our work to end the wind power moratorium in Connecticut.

In addition to advancing energy policy, CCE works to make it easier for members of the public to go solar at their home or business. We've partnered with local solar installers through EnergySage—to make the process of shopping for solar as simple and straightforward as possible, and to get you high quality solar panels at a low price. CCE also supports Long Island Green Homes, a non-profit collaborative partnership of Long Island towns, community-based organizations, and the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College. Long Island Green Homes connects Long Island homeowners with local, certified contractors who assess their homes for free to identify money-saving and energy efficient improvements. Average savings for Long Islanders who have gone through the program is about $1,000 per year, and only projects that have been determined to pay for themselves in savings are recommended.
