Courtney holds environmental roundtable Saturday

Colchester, Conn. — U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney, D-2nd District, held a round table discussion with state and local environmental advocates Saturday at Colchester Town Hall.
Though gathered to discuss environmental goals and concerns, much of the discussion centered on the economy and the proposed stimulus package. which Courtney said will include some green incentives.

Attending the discussion were: John Blake, Sierra Club, Charleen Cutler, Quinebaug-Shetucket Heritage Corridor, Nathan Frohling, Nature Conservancy, Mark Mitchell, CT Coalition Environmental Justice, Chris Phelps, Environment Conn., David Sutherland, Nature Conservancy, Eric Hammerling, Conn. Forest and Park, Chuck Toal, Colchester Land Trust, Emmett Pepper, Citizens Campaign, Jerry Lokken, Conn. Rec. & Parks and Anthony Irving, Eight Mile Scenic Rivers.
