Adrienne Esposito, of Citizens Campaign for the Environment, says they are not only excited that the Long Island Sound back in the budget after the president tried to eliminated it, but adds the Sound is now getting $8 million -- double the amount it usually receives.

She says the EPA has an office that does nothing but administer the Long Island Sound restoration efforts, including improving the wetlands, land preservation, water quality, and protection from polluted storm water.

Esposito says it was a bipartisan effort to get the money back into the budget, and appreciates the efforts of Reps. Tom Suozzi and Lee Zeldin.
