ENVIRONMENTALISTS TO TESTIFY AT SUFFOLK COUNTY HEALTH COMMITTEE TO RESTORE DRINKING WATER PROTECTION

Esposito Will Present Specific Community Threats Due to Cuts to Critical Water Protection Agency

Farmingdale, NY— CCE will testify at the Suffolk County Health Committee seeking to reverse the recent budget cuts to the Suffolk County Water Resources Department. 40% of the staff has been targeted for layoffs, creating real threats to communities throughout the County. The Water Resources Department spearheads programs that monitor, test and enforce cleanup of toxic waste sites in order to protect Suffolk County residents against drinking contaminated water.
